T-56 wants to grind on the down shifts.
I have a problem with my t-56. after my road trip this weekend the trans started making noises. It sounds like the gears are not disengaging and want to grind. It only does it on the down shifts from 4 to 1 when the car gets hot. The trans is fine on up shifts. I have the best parts in trans, but the clutch is going out and the throw out bearing is toast. Or could it be the slave cly, I replaced it 3 months ago.

More or less. No problems on the up shifts. The trans feels good over all. I just drained the fluid and it was a milky color, so I know something is going on. I hope it just needed to be changed. I guess I will find out.

I put decron III ATF back in it. I was told by the guys at D&D Performance that was the best thing to run. All the parts in the trans came from them. I feel it was just used up. At least I hope so. I down shift all the time in my car. But I drive it really hard.

atf will be fine, i think it'd have something to do with a synchro,not going back to its neutral position. as 4th gear is direct drive it operates of course on a diff syncro then first so when you goto pull it out of 4th maybe that syncro isn't going back. understand somewhat?
and no games when u say syncro rings you mean what? blocker rings,lock rings lol???

Still making noise after the fluid change. Yes blocker rings and everything else. I will have the trans out doing a Ram powergrip and fidanza light weight flywheel. So I will let the tranny shop take a look at it.
