Make sure the LED Colors match your speedo color. I actually wish they made red w/black faces so it'd match my stock gauges

I got the silver gauge overlays from a non sponsor, and then use the ultra lite guages, looks great.

I don't think there is any "best" when it comes to Autometer. All of their gauges are great. It really comes down to personal preference and taste. I happen to like the Ultralite series because they have a very subtle almost brushed aluminum look to the faces. Some like the Carbon Fiber face look, while others might like something more bold like the Cobalt series. Really up to you and your own tastes.

the cobalts are great if you have an extra million dollars laying around..but i think the phantom or ultra lites are the best.

Ultra lites here as well. Took out the clear bulb it came with and replaced it with blue LED's to match the blue LED's I have behind the guage cluster. Kind of hard to see at night but still looks great IMO.

Cobalts do look great, but I don't like the black background.

To me any gagues EXCEPT Cobalt look too ricey at night.

Cobalt's light up like the factory gauges (the numbers are lit). All other gauges are cheap and light kind of makes it's way around to light the face up.

I have Pro Comps with LED white wedge bulbs and they match the stock dash perfectly... I mean dead on with the lighting color and even matches the same brightness. Its perfect.

I had a set of Cobalts at first but they were IMO too ricey... too bright.. didnt match anything.. too extravagant. I pulled them out after looking at them a few times in the dark, they just didnt grow on me.

You can put a resistor in line with the light/power supply to make them not as bright.

The Nexus gauges are pretty cool but they don’t make the dash mount speedo or tach so I plan on going with the Colbalt series for my custom job. Thinking about switching out my stock gauges for the colbalt indash and a pillar mount, will see…..good luck with whatever you choose

I hear ya... but Im a stickler for subtle changes and the Cobalts, although they are freakin gorgeous gauges, were too "over the top" for me. It wasnt just that they were bright, I wanted something to compliment the stock gauges and dash lights. The ProComps did that perfectly AFTER I installed the white LED wedgebulb. I was actually still bummed after installing the ProComps with the stock bulb.. too yellow.

This pic does no justice..
