lookin' good

Is the engine rebuilt? How much HP & TQ? I know a lot isn't needed for road racing. I'm sorry if I missed a previous post.

Built for Camaro/Mustang Challenge series.

It's a spec series. Limited to 230hp/300tq and a minimum of 3200lbs.
So, the motor is bone stock and has to run a restrictor plate to bring the power DOWN to those levels.

Sounds crazy, I know, but it makes for great racing. And the equipment lasts forever.

nope :( but even if it was most of us wouldnt be too excited about changing it out for the small gains we would get.

Yea, people have been using the LG stuff up front for a while, but after reading on how much of a PITA it was to install the lower arms, I didnt care for them anymore. That and the fact that I cant see a gain anywhere else besides weight reduction by going with the uppers, least not for me specificly.

Since we are building these cars for competition, it wouldn't be prudent to give my competitors baseline knowledge of the car's setup.

Not to be an ass, just trying to keep a competitive edge.

w/ all the failures of these things on the street i bet money none of them would last a weekend on the road course. not worth 10 times the weight reduction you see w/ one.

LG's fronts are for camber/caster gains not weight reduction. when you need 2.5 degrees camber on a street car, they are what you need to do it.

dont go calling us Pro's. we are weekend worriors just like most everyone.

you need to give more info though. track only car or daily driver?
650 175's would be close. but that aint what we are running. i dont think ou got the sack to run what Mitch runs. :eek2:

FYI, class minimum weight for 4th gens is 3200lbs w/ driver post race. my last race weekend i crossed the scales @ 3202 w/ half a tank of fuel. we are limited as to what we can cut/remove, so thats a very light car w/ an LT1. i weigh in @ 220. i bet its under 2950 dry.

I used the wrong words in that post

I meant as to how my car is set up now, weight reduction would be the only gain/bennifit that I would see out of them. Im happy with my current alignment right now, I couldnt imagine running that much camber on the street, im already upset about the wear with the -1.0* I have now.

Your rate will depend a LOT on the sway bar combo you can use. The bigger the bar(s), the less rate you can run.

You want to run as soft of a spring as you can that will do the job.
