Mine snapped the driver's side axle on a 4grand launch on BFG DRs. And I'm surprised mine took as long as it did to break.
If you have a M6, a 12 bolt or 9" is the way to go if you want to get the power down without the rear constantly breaking.

if your going to be afraid for breaking stuff...dont race

through some nittos on it...do a 2nd gear burn out and drop the clutch at 3500-4000

i did that for a very long time without any problems with 1.8 60fts and hookin nice

its a crapshoot...if your worried...get a 12 bolt

thats the best advise i can give

I droped the clutch between 5-5500 rpms and pulled a 1.7x 60ft on m/t DR. I'm don't know how long it last but I'm replacing it with a ford 9 inch soon.

You're not gonna break the rear on stock tires/gears. I've got 120 + passes on my car, all of them approximately 2500 rpm dumps/slips, no problems. Gears on the other hand.
