Default High Compression and a 200 shot

High Compression and a 200 shot, ARP Head studs and Cometic Head Gasket....

Right now my motor is sitting at stock compression. How beneficial would it be if i were to have the heads milled. Looking for 11.5-11.8 compression.

looking to get some more HP N/A

Think its too much?

I'm assuming you have forged internals? If not that is too much but, if you have good internals I don't see any problems. I've heard of guys runnin 13.5:1 and lots of N2O, course they were runnin BIGGGG MOTORS!!

Race gas might be a must to get away with that, I have a buddy with 12:1 sbc 400 that has a 300ho shot , but he runs 110 octane !

Yes you can run that much compression on pump gas suffice you tune the car correctly. One has to remember that our cars utilize aluminum heads and therefore one can get away with more compression on pump gas so long as the timing and camshaft specs are kept in check. What you could do is run a street program for your everyday driving and then swap to a track program that utilizes more timing taking into account the N2O as well. Of course it would require some octane most likely 110-112 to be safe and I would recommend you dyno the car with both programs keeping a close eye on the O2's. Hope this helps.

You'll be fine if you run a stand-alone fuel system for the nitrous & run C16 in it. It's all about controlling the burn-speed.

i'm running 5.3L heads on the stock bottom end and giving it 200-250 depending on available fuel.. been doing it for a long time.. put a good tune in it.. and good gas.. you'll be fine

Compression doesn't affect a nitrous motor the way it does a forced induction motor. You can pretty much run whatever compression you want provided you are keeping the detonation in check by utilizing a good tune and the correct gas.

However, as red90cobra said, you won't gain much over what you are making now. The cost versus the gain is not worth it IMO.

Pro Mod guys run high compression motors with the juice all the time... Use the proper fuel and watch the timing and you'll be fine... But you better have a engine that can handle it... You have been warned.
