Default Precision of New Hampton 3500 Stall?

Ok, hopefully I got your all's attention. I am in the market for a stall converter and was calling some local auto tranny shops to get some quotes on a stall install..... The converter was custom made by PRECISION of NEW HAMPTON. Its stall is 3200-3500. The backstory on it is that it was installed on one of their customers cars and when he decided to upgrade to a higher stall they kept that converter. They will sell me the converter outright for $200 and install it with new fluids and seals for $350, making the total price for converter/install $550. What would you all do? Is 3200-3500 a high enough stall to see great performance numbers with LT headers, LS6 intake, Lid, TSP MS3 cam and (possibly) 4.11 or 4.56 gears?

I do not know the company “PRECISION of NEW HAMPTON” and they might be a great converter company. If it were me I would stick with a more known converter company such as TCI, Yank, or Fuddle that have a proven performance record.

Are you talking about precision industries, the company that makes vigilante converters? If so I have a vig 3600 and I love it.

Never heard of them.... stick with whats known to work unless you got the money to replace a mistake... not saying they will be low quality converters but you never know.

Hard to believe a quality 3500 is available for $200 unless the originally customer allready paid for it such that the $200 is pure profit to the tranny shop.

I'd probably run away.

P.S. Please do not post non-sponsor links and pricing.
