Question T-top conversion

I recently bought a 99 Formula ws6. The previous owner had ordered it in a hard top and I would like to convert it to T-tops. What kind of price range am I looking at for that kind of operation? Also, it has cloth interior/ I'd rather have leather...again....price range? Any other advice would be appreciated as well. Other than those two things the car is perfect!!

Man, I wish I had the money to match what you had in that car.. Hard top, low option cars are kind of rare.

Search for t-top conversions or something along those lines, theres been a few threads.

I knew a guy in Kansas that converted a LT1 car. He got the T tops from a junkyard.
Expect about 100 to 200 for those.
You would need new weatherseals from GM.
Then you need the little plastic trims for the truck that hold the T tops. Search ebay?
Don't know what else.

I have seen used leather interiors go for 1500 on ebay but that is too much in my opinion even with all 4 seats.

i did a ttop conversion on my 98 camaro, umm...i got the ttops and headliner at a junkyard for $100. i bought the mounting hardware off of ebay along with weatherstripping and interior pieces for a little over $100 cant remember it's been so long. i bought a dremel from walmart, $50, make sure you get an electric one, the battery ones keep going dead. what else?....umm......need a sharp knife, some blankets, a big screw driver, a sawzall, markers, many many cutting discs for the dremel, cut off wheel, lots of time and patience....first here are some pics of my conversion, then heres the link i used to do this...it took me and my brother about 20 hours of labor, but we were extra careful not to **** anything up and made the cuts VERY generous just to be safe
proof it was a hardtop

the cut along the line in the roof

sorry i know thats a lot of pictures...here's the site i used http://members.fortunecity.com/gripe...onversion.html if you have any questions at all i'll do my best to help

Yeah there are a couple people on this site that have made their Camaros into targa tops and I know there is one guy that is about to do it. I have a picture of one on my other computer.

if your gonna do it i'd do targa, just to be different. personally i'd leave it a hardtop as those are more rare, but good luck on your conversion! just one question to those that have done it....are there any kind of body flex issues more than stock ttops since it's custom cut and everything is a little different than it was from the factory?

That's a Photoshop of Whistler's Camaro, someone horribly chopped it to say it was their's...

I've done the Targa Mod to my TransAm as well...pics are on my photobucket
