Default Factory wires and Pacesetter LTs *also EGR question*

I've just installed Pacesetter LTs on my 96 SS and I will have to run the factory wires untill I can afford some OVC ones. I have good clearance on all of them except #6. The heat shield is touching the header pipe, what are the chances of it burning up?

Also has anyone had trouble with the Trans dipstick tube being in the way of the EGR port on the header? I am having a hell of a time getting the EGR tube to bolt up to the port..any suggestions?

The heat shield is there to protect it so it shouldn't cause a problem. If the wire or boot touches the header tube itself it will burn up.
