Default miss fire but from what?

a little back ground.i have a 2000 ta with 5.7l ls1.the car has 35k on it and was runnig great.i took the second plug on drivers side out to check it.put it back in and now it missfires.1st it pulled a p0303 that #3 is missfiring.i erased the code and double checked the connections(made sure they were tight).drove about 10' and got p0300(multiple cylinder missfire).took the plug out again to verify i had it in all the way.put back in and no difference.took the plug wire off at the coil and started the car.i noticed the spark jumoing from the coil to the bracket next to it .is that common or is it a cause for concern.any help would be appreciated.
