I searched the entire faq and searched for titles relating to the ls1 clutch so I'm sorry if I'm missing a thread about it which I'm sure there has been, but I was just wondering with the 98-00 cars stock clutch, what are the general problems with it why was it upgraded to the z06 clutch in the later years. Does it just wear out faster or is weaker or what. Thanks, feel free to delete this thread if I missed another one.

The actual clutch isnt too bad of a clutch...for stock. It iwas the Hydro's that kiiled it. In 01 they upgraded the slave and that helped a lot.
