Question is, If I get that cam is a stall manditory? i mean will it hurt anyhting if I dont get a stall or i just wont make as much power as I would with the stall?

it isnt mandatory, your car will still run fine.... and you will prolly get better hp numbers due to less slippage with the stock converter... but your track times will be less since you cant launch but at like ~1700 rpms instead ot 2.5K +
btw nice track times and hp number

stalls rev higher than stock, but nothing like you make it sound like.

Exactly, I drive with a 3800 stall everyday and i never go over 2k rpm just getting up to speed, and after 45-50 mph the converter locks up anyway.

Hey buddy, Iam actually doing the same thing. Just got a better rear, got the 342's and now am saving for the cam. From what I'm told I will just need new springs and I'm set.
Stock stall plus the gears and the cam would be nice
Also, my track times were 12.72 @ 110.3 with the same mods you have at 341/354
Autos with good times for the win
273's suck too btw

From experience I wouldnt do the 224 w/a stock stall, I did it for a year and hated it. 1. You cant get into the powerband of the cam at a launch, and mine has timing ground into it so it makes more power at lower RPM's and i still couldnt hit it. 2. You must let the car fine idle and be semi warm before putting it in gear or it will die because the converter is too tight. 3. Its harder on your brakes since when you are trying to brake the converter isnt loose enough and since the idle is raised to increase drivablity the car moves foward considerabley more at a stop and when trying to stop. 5. It is a pain to drive, and your track times will barely improve.
It revs up slightly higher, but not to like 5k. I have a 3500 stall and i dont ever go above 2500 rpms with normal driving, and i'll barely hit 3k if i'm passing someone or something, and it locks up at 47 and doesnt unlock til i decelrate to 43 so city driving is nothing.

converters put you in your powerband..There are no "dead spots" when you punch it from most speeds..All converters lock up but with a significant stall you feel it much more..If my 3800 stall doesn't "Lock Up" by 60mph, When you step on the gas the car revs like it's in neutral(or trans is slipping) a little bit because of the loose converter..make sense?
