Does anyone make a fly-by-wire TB for the LS2's yet? Whats out there to bolt on a FAST 90mm intake for the LS2 engine?

I don't believe so, I've been searching and came to the conclusion the best option is to just have the stocker ported out. The stock LS2/LS7 throttle bodies are decent parts already.

Nick Williams was making them but is giving up about now.

Nick has had some problems with his. My tuner has had three of them fail and all for the same reason. All of them were Corvette units. What happens is that the car will no longer hold idle and it begins to surge. I'm not sure about the details on the failure but was told it involves rapid wear on an internal part and it's not easy to fix. I have one of his $610 paper weights (plus I had to send a core) in the garage. I replaced it with an LS2 throttle body.

It's a shame too because when it was working it worked very well. I would definately stick with the LS2 unit.

Why not use the stock one?

Anyone know if there are any adverse effects to porting out the stock LS2 T/B?

Yes, you are going to have a very difficult time tuning the idle due to the fact that the throttle will be overtraveling to lower the idle. I am wondering why you guys don't like the stock throttle body? Have you seen any power differences by porting it out? If there is an advantage, maybe Katech could offer a ported one like they do with the 75mm.

Just use the stock TB.

The stock 90mm throttle body that comes on the 05-06 GTO is a great throttle body and will bolt right up to the fast 90 intake.
Don't waste your money on an aftermarket one that is the same size.
