Default Shipping a 4l60e

How would you go about shipping a 4l60 and what can I expect to pay? I need to sell my trans, but not sure how to go about shipping it if I can't find a local buyer. I know it will have to go freight, but what do I use to ship it, I don't think cardboard boxes will cut it, lol!!

I would find a pallet and just strap it down.

Make a crate out of wood or just tie it down to a skid or pallet.

My buddy just purchased a tranny off a guy that was about 1000 miles away. They took the bellhousing and tailshaft off and went to Menards and bought a couple plastic totes with covers and shipped em that way. He said it worked great with no problems! Traver
