Default Ram Air hoods by BOA

Has anybody purchased a hood from BOA F/X Styling www.boa-fx.com/pages/1/index.htm The prices seem quite reasonable, but what is the quality and fit like I wonder? Does anybody have real first hand knowledge of them, and when did you buy it as quality changes as time goes on.

3 days and not even one response?? Is it that nobody has even heard of this company? If not, does anybody have recommendations on an aftermarket ram air hood vendor for the 98-02 Firebirds?

Aftermarket hoods are a royal pain. I have seen most hoods for 3rd & 4th gens and none of them have been straight or lined up right. They've been waivy and the fit was horrible.

I've heard good things about US Exotics with the WS9 hoods (and they look great IMHO).

Other than that.....I would caugh up the extra $$$ and get an OEM hood. It may be more up front, but you'll likely save yourself $$$ and frustration by going that route.

I got a boa-fx hood on my 96 T/A. It fit pretty good just one uneven spot /gap on the hood-passenger side fender area.

Hey Red98C5,
I have the twin turbo camaro hood from boa.
The shop that installed it and painted it and everything said it was good quality and about the same as the slp hood to install. I love it, have had if for 7 months now.

I know this thread is old but I do have the SS hood from Boa-fx on my 2001.

The fit and quality of the hood was good. It is a heavy; but read the following about customer service:
10 weeks ago I ordered the SS spoiler to match my hood. It took 4 weeks, a paypal claim, endless emails and phone calls to get them to send it. They answered almost none of the email and have never answered their phone directly. The spoiler was horrible; too expensive to fix and fit but I did get them to accept it back. However, it was supposed to be replaced with a cross shipment. Six weeks later I have nothing while they are happily selling them on ebay. They simply took my $170.95 and I am out the money and the spoiler. After enless unanswered phone calls and email, I apparently don't exist.
