Default Bandit finally Sprays at 1/2 Mile Help evaluate (Pretty Cool!)

I haven't posted here in a while as I have just been busy. Got my NX Dual Nozzle Wet kit with ALL the accesories from Nitro Dave. I haven't had a chance to get to the 1/4 mile, but they had an event yesterday at The Texas Motorplex in Ennis and I sprayed once ..........I think I have a lot left in the car with spraying out of the hole and through shifts I am tuned and jetted very conservative because I recently blew a motor (not due to nitrous, but that did speed up the process)

Info on my set up and tune

-Have the 150 Fuel Jets and the 100 N20 jets so its on the rich side.
-Car tuned with 22 degrees of timing (for now)..............
-A/F NA is 12.5 and on with Jets above on Spray A/F is 11.2
-Naturally Aspirated Dynoed 391 RWHP 370 RWTQ
-Dynoed w/100 Shot (w/abv.mismatched jets) Dynoed 480 RWHP 479 RWTQ
-PCM Shifts at 6,500 RPM's, Have Yank SS4000 Stall, Shift extentions 5,350..
-BFG Drag Radials

How I had my Nitrous set up for my 1/4 run
-Used MSD Digital- ON = 4,000 OFF = 6,300

Best Track Results on Motor
60'.........1.62
330........4.77
1/8........7.421
MPH.......92.61
1000......9.721
1/4........11.66
MPH.......116.59

Track Results on SPRAY
60'.........1.644
330........4.627
1/8........7.160
MPH.......96.89
1000......9.3468
1/4........11.17
MPH.......123.75

I was pretty Happy. Not sure I sprayed out of the Hole???????? I think I pedaled it and then mashed it WOT after I hooked up..... I was just trying to dip my foot in the wading pool of Nitrous and it was pretty cool. Now I want to go in the deep end.

Any suggestions???
ex:putting 100 Fuel jets back to increase A/F????
Window switch settings???
Anything.....................

It felt really cool, except for the stutter the N2O cut off before the shifts. It is a blast!!!!!!!!!!

The Bandit.................

congrats man. I wanted to go out to ennis but i was finishing my h/c swap this weekend. I am the owner ot the white camaro ss at denton dragway. When i get my care tunned i would like to meet you at denton for a couple of runs. You should get some good times if you spray off the line and it hooks but it is kinda scary cause thats alot of power on a stock drivetrain. I probably wont be spraying off the line any more either till i save up for a 12 bolt. once again congrats . by the way whoes doing all of your tune work, pm if you want?

Chris Robinson did all my tune and 21st Century Muscle Cars just backed off the timing a bit for the Nitorus, again I am at 22 degrees, where before I was at like 28...............I loose N/A, but I am running really safe so I am more just wanting to have a great running car that is safe and not trying to be the fastest I can be and squeeze every ounce of HP out of it with a on the edge tune.

I bet I can still get more HP/TQ and be safe, but this i sjust where I started at for now. Yeah I remeber you, lets go run sometime at Denton.

You were spraying your car right???????????????

I used to have a SS3600, great TC, would be better for my Nitrous, but the SS4000 is good NA as well. I am trying to be conservative as well as I will need to buy a Tranny soon and am not excited about $2,500!!

Hey,
Glad to see you back. I wanted to go to the event Saturday but with us moving into the new shop and being behind I have been working everyweekend. I took this weekend doing stuff for Courtnay.

Get some traction and spray that thing out of the whole. The race is in the 60 ft.

Bandit, congrats on a new best, now add your time to the vette spray list in the stickies. There are just a few of us up there right now, and I made a stink to get a vette list. Imo, if your spraying in first gear your spraying outa the hole, however, with better traction you won't have to pedal so much and thus a better 60'er and ET. Yes i agree, you have mucho left to iron out and you'll soon be a 10.xx guy.

as for the "surge" of the spray shutting off between shifts- i was having BAD issues with that. it seemed as if i was spraying through my converter.

explaination= my car (si) is set to shift @ 6k, and i wanted the spray to turn off at 5900. on the spray my rpms would be at 5900 faster than it would be n/a, therefore when the spray shut off my rpms would drop down to like 5600 and the spray would hit AGAIN then shut off again then shift . the problem stemmed from the shift points.

im currently playing with the shift points now to tune it out, i think it got it. i had to actually reduce the shift mph so now when i hit 6k im @ (remember, 2.73's) about 2 mph or so less because the rpms are up there sooner.

i think if you got that issue alone figure out you'll hit 10's . i know the closer i got the shut off rpm to the shift point the faster the car felt/was, but too close and you spray through the shift and fry the trans. like playing with fire
