Default Just got my numbers

Mods are in sig, the cam is a 224/228 .590/.590 113lsa; The first pull it put down 315hp/306trq, when we finished tuning on the motor it put down 346hp/328trq @6300rpm. Spraying a 150 shot, the first pass it put down 443hp/435trq but it was a little rich so we swapped jets on the fuel side to lean it out and it put down 502hp/542trq. So I gained 30hp/20trq on the motor and 60hp/110trq spraying. It was worth $80 to get it tuned!!! What do you guys think about these numbers? Average for an auto car? Little low/high? Numbers were made on a dynojet.

Hmm...seem low for a cammed car especially 01/02 car. Hopefully they are low due to your TC but I dunno.

the numbers look right to me, get a ls6 intake and the N/A numbers will jump about 20 hp and tq but damn how did you get your car tuned for $80!?!?!? i think i payed 500ish for 4 hours of dyno time and a dude to tune it.

Well we locked the convertor with a tech2, that was at 12.8 air/fuel and 28 degrees timing with 0 knock retard, I bet we could have got a little more out of it if we went a little leaner but I would guess maybe 10 horse. If we added any more timing than that we would get some knock retard spraying so we left it there. What do you guys think? On the dyno sheets the horsepower and torque are flatter than a board, especially the torque.

For an A4 & stall i'd say impressive man esp. on spray

some twaking would get ya a bit higher but we still looking for the dyno graph .

Needs a cut out! The slp headers always raise an eyebrow or two as well. Car just needs to breathe a little more

Something is wrong, you should be AT LEAST 365+ HP.

The Hooker cat back might be your problem. I tuned a head a cam car that had a Hooker cat back and his numbers were about 20HP down from what they should be. He added a cutout and it really woke the car up but I didn't get it back on the dyno yet.

It looks like I gained a good amount just by tuning, but do you think that I will gain 20 hp just by a cutout? Any other suggestions? What type of a catback do you recommend? SLP Loudmouth?

the hooker is one of the best exhaust systems out there. it starts to choke off power over 500, so you would only notice a difference when on spray. I had a cut out on mine and only gained 1.3 rwhp. I say they are not worth it. My .02 cents

I would keep it right at 12.8 or even lower since you are spraying, but not much. what did the a/f look like when you sprayed.

I bet she moves pretty good.

Spraying it dropped down to 11.5:1 but it stayed pretty flat throughout the pull. Another thing too is that we were dynoing at 2300ft...i think, in Oklahoma. How much of a difference would that make?

Not all setups are the same, but it's obvious that it helps. How much did you pick up THROUGH-OUT the curve ? Not just peak power.

To the thread starter, 2300ft above sea level wouldnt affect numbers I wouldn't think because of SAE correction. I could be wrong though ?

Do take into account that you have a 3400 stall and a built tranny. Autos/big stalls dont like to put out big numbers. They do however do quite well at the track/from a dig.

Ya, I know that the autos are far from dyno queens. Where they really shine is at the track. So I'm not dissapointed at my numbers, I will just have to get to Great Bend soon and see what I run there. I would really like to pull a ten, even a 10.99, don't know if it will happen or not, but I can dream right?!?!?

Also, if you look at the h/c threads from people with autos, some of them are only putting down 370+ So considering that, from a cam only car, 350hp out of mine isn't too far out of line...for the size of cam i'm running. A torquer2 or something that has 230+ duration would probably put down some better numbers.

I don't have access to a scanner but this is the best that I could do for right now. The power increments are in 250's. The lean spike is from the 150 shot after we swapped the fuel jet the next pull didn't spike like that. See what you guys think.
