That's like 50 degrees then? It's SEVEN DEGREES here! at least at night, it gets up to a balmy 17 during the day. Some condensation is normal, just keep driving until the engine's gotten warm enough to drive the moisture out (though the filler cap sits out in the breeze and tends to be cooler than the rest of the engine).
I don't have any problem with condensation in winter in my SS, I just can't drive it without plowing the snow from the driveway with the airdam.

In cold weather (and to you Florida people, 50 is NOT cold! ) its never a good idea to make quick short drives in your car when its not fully warmed up. Starting your car, and going for a quick 5-10 minute drive may not allow the engine to fully warm up, and the different hot and cold spots will cause condensation to build up and settle into your oil. If youre going to drive your car in the cold, make sure its for a good drive, and you let the car fully warm up before you shut it off. I know sometimes this is unavoidable, thats why I have a winter beater that I am not as concerned with. But with my LS1, I try not to use the car in cold weather unless I know I'll be in the car for more than 10 minutes or so.

When your a floridan 50 and under IS cold, but the best time to go to the track!

Always *try* to let it warm up, but sometimes you have to wing it in ur everyday beater z28...

I get a lot of the yellowish/tanish stuff under the oil cap, this is my first season driving my car in the winter, I was pretty shocked when I first saw it as well, I know what the coolant/oil mix looks like, and thats what I thought it was at first too..
