I had the 500/1 hooked up to a 10w7 and it was great! (custom fiberglass box though)

I have heard a 10W3 and the Alpine Type-S was better. Not sure about the Type-R but, they are suited for smaller boxes.

overall do you'll say that the w6 is the best choice to go with stealth box and the 500/1

Doesn't the W6 need a larger box and more power. You might be better off with the Alpine Type R or S.

I have a 12W6 and only a 250/1 amp and it sounds great.
I do want to upgrade though.

Type r 10 with amplifier m605 to it sounds pretty good hits hard too, also its a custom fiberglass box, and ported. Sealed just was'nt right but ported brought the sub to life.

I am using the stealthboxes with the scan-speak vents and it really helped. These are placed in the back wall of the box and hits really good.

I am putting (2) AUDIOBAHN AW1251T 800W RMS SUBS in my WS6 with
(1) 1000W Pyramid Crystal PB781X 2CH AMP. I am going to be building my own box, but want to build the stealth type box. Will the 12's sound good in there. Let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks.

The 1000W Pyramid Crystal PB781X is not a good choice. By looking at the specs, it is 1000x1 Watts Peak not RMS. This will be lucky to put out 150x1 Watts RMS. Plus, with a 15A fuse, not going to out a lot of power. Second, the amp is not a class D and is going to generate a lot of heat. Need to get a class D for better efficiency and is smaller in size. Bottom line, Pyramid is junk and need to stay away. To get what you want, you need a high quality amp like Alpine, Kicker, MTX and so on.

The AUDIOBAHN AW1251T are 400 Watts RMS. Don't confuse RMS with Peak (Dynamic). Peak is for short bursts and RMS in continuous. The speakers are cheap and are paper cones with foam surrounds. Again, need to get a high quality speaker like Alpine, Kicker, ID, JL and so on.

Going cheap will net you nothing but, aggravation. Shop on eBay and you can find some good deals on top notch componets.

I completely agree with Blacker...ebay it and you can come up with some way better stuff. Audiobahn has some nice designs as far as asthetics...huge magnets and cool looking baskets but they cheap out on where it really counts, voice coils and surrounds. Any amount of real power given to those subs and they blow...not that the Pyramid amp could put that much out. It could prolly blow them up due to the distortion they produce at high volume. Get a budget in mind, get on ebay, and do some research...Rockford Fosgate was always my cheap way out. Their older amps are very powerful and HE2 subs are also inexpensive. I also tested some Type-E Alpines that sounded fine for a budget setup. They can be had for around $30.00-$60.00 on ebay. RF amp can be had for $50.00-$100.00. You can do alot better than the stuff you mentioned! Good luck!

I emailed JL about the steath box and a 10w6v2 sub and they told me that it would work well.
