Car idling at 2000....help?

Car idling at 2000....help? So last night my car started idling rough after I did some racing.....at a stop light in neutral my car was idling at 2000 rpm's and a few times it would go from 1500-2000....sometimes it will go back down to around 1100 though. I drove it to breakfast this morning and when I came back to the house it idled at 2k for a little while and then dropped back down. Any ideas what could cause this?

I bet you its the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS). Mine use to do the same thing. Either in park or in drive. Also, it starting shifting at different rpms and sometimes didn't want to shift at all. A new sensor fixed everything.

I'm having the same kind of problem. My IAC keeps going bad for some reason. I have one that idles at 3000 and the other registers no counts while scanning. And the car will not idle up or down with it.

i havent had a chance to do anything with the TB but the last couple days it hasnt been doing it...its gone close to 1500 a few times but thats pretty much it.
