Default More Pre-Clutch Install Questions

I read a few of the posts about some concerns when replaceing the clutch. I'm going to follow the instructions at installuniveristy.com for the most part, but I'm more wondering about the slave cylinder more.

I'm putting in a LS6 clutch and new slave cylinder. I'm not exactly sure how to bleed the fluid out of the system. I've been told that I could buy a "bleeder" kit that is more universal for bleeding brakes.

1)Will that work in this situation?
2)Do you have to bleed the fluid while the tranny is down and the slave cylinder exposed?
3)Any other tips?

Thanks,
Quatney

Install University

Have fun reading. There is a write up on a McLeod clutch isntall. Same concept though. Also, search for bushman's clutch bleed method.

Good luck!

Is it me or is install university one of the worst laid out sites on the net?
I seem to have a LOT of trouble finding anything. Maybe I'm just too impatient with it. I'll give it another go.
