Default Clutch Pedal Spring....Where to Buy?

I finally found the problem to my clutch pedal free play. I was underneath the dash installing my new gauge pods and the spring from the clutch pedal fell to the ground. Where can I buy a new one...Chevrolet???

What is that spring supposed to do anyway?
I have the pedal assembly out of a car to convert my automatic to a T56. This spring seems to hold the clutch pedal in the up position or the down position, seems to me it should just hold it up.

Its the Clutch Return Spring ... its supposed to hold the pedal all the way up when your foot isn't on it. I went through 3 on my car ... and after the 3rd one I said I'd never replace it again. I think the last one they put on is still hanging in there though. I drove for a year w/o one though with no ill effects.
