Default Dyno results: TSP Torquer v.2 & PRC 2.5 heads

Ok, so I finally got some dyno tuning done by Mike @ Rapid Motorsports. The tune was a little tough to get right due to my ported MAF But he did an excellent job!

I would like to take this time to thank Jason and Jon at Texas-Speed! They were excellent in working with me; answered all of my tiring questions and even sped up the shipping to make sure I had my parts in-time for the install. Excellent customer service by far! I would recomment them to anyone

The driveability is great - idle is fine (set at 900rpms). Its a little tough starting out w/ 3.73's, but its nothing to get worried about.

TR224 vs. Torquer v.2
So I switched from a TR224 114lsa to the Tv2 112lsa. The idle is a LOT more choppy - just how I like it I did notice a drop in low-end torque with the new Tv2, but the power from about 3250rpms up is just *****-to-the-wall w/ the Torquer.

So without further delay, here are my results:

Mods:
Torquer v.2
PRC stage 2.5 5.3L heads
MTI airlid
Ported MAF
TR NGK's
no Underdrive pulley
Strange 12-bolt w/ 3.73's
Stock TB and intake
FLP LT's w/ ORY
Corsa cat-back

432rwhp 377rwtq

I failed to mention in my original post, but I would like to take this time to thank Jason and Jon at Texas-Speed! As for the future mods, I'm planning on an underdrive pulley and a Fast 90/90 - I think that should get me to around 450rwhp...

HP curve looks great but it looks like your hurting for TQ down low? Does it pull better down low driving around town?

Why is the torque so low? HP seems about right for no TB and no pulley. Congrats.

It's the large 235cc intake runner causing this. HP can be made with a budget setup but torque is a different story in most cases.

Hey my car's been on those same rollers! Congrats on the newfound power. Throw an ASP and PTB on there pick up an easy 10+rwhp and equal torque. The lack of lowend can be made up with some 4.30's pretty easily.

Yeah, I was wondering why my TQ is so low - that lies completely w/ the head casting?

Not really, the casting starts off as a 210 cc casting which makes good torque but after being ported turns into a 235 cc intake runner. It has more to do with the port. For example Livernois ports their LS6 stage 2 head to a 220 cc intake runner which in theory based on their flow numbers would make more torque. A real world example is the fact that the AFR 205's are known as torque monsters on a 346 but there 225 cc counterpart will lose low end torque and gain a little up top on a 346. This is why AFR does not recommend their 225's for a 346 unless you are going with a huge cam and are only concerned with high end HP numbers.
