Default FJO help- on and off @ start, and from a roll it no worky :(

well i just finnally got a bottle today and went to test out the FJO-

Heres the "program" im running on my FJO

TPS- Rises
RPM Multiplier- divide 3 With RPM- present
Stage1
RPM cutoff- checked and set to 5390
RPM trigger 2035
RPM end- 5398
Solenoid Frequency- 16Hz
Start 15%
Final 100%
Type RPM Based
Trigger switch will ENABLE this stage

Made sure all the wires are correct and everything is correct-

So first run from a stop-

Turn on for a second then goes off- so i check the set-up and its alright
BUT- i pedal'd it because no traction then its on- and off a second later so w/e just changed the rpms up and still nothing-

Second- from a 20 roll just never sprayed-

Please help- thank you

Did you try a third run? my first guess would be a connection broke somewhere, blown fuse etc b/c it sprayed once then stopped working.

Also the "rpm end" is the high limit of the "curve".It needs to be less or equal to the rpm cutoff (which is when it stops spraying).prob not the prob though.

Those are some random rpm's you picked BTW

i spray through the shifts on my 4l60e-

No i did try two or three more dig runs and the same thing.......... so its got a good fuse i can see the FJO in my glove compartment and all the lights are on- im gonna check all the connections again tommorow and make sure the TPS is okay-

im thinking on the dig runs its because i pedal'd it- doesnt it have a time where it wont spray for 10seconds after it has shut off?- but it sprayed after i pedal'd it

i dont think so....

maybe its spraying ok and you just can't feel it right away 15% of a 150 shot is only 22hp start at 50 %

Ok where do you have your tach signal coming from?
did the YELLOW led comfirm or match the tach signal?
TRIGGER INPUT to Enable, does your trigger switch give power to the red wire?
What is your second stage set at?
Can you give me the drawing on how your system is wired up?

i wired it up just like the second drawing i beleive on the FJO manual- you can see it on the PDF on their website

second stage is what came pre programed into the controller i havent changed it all

The TACH signal is comming from thel that i used on the MSD window switch for the tach signal it reads the rpms correctly or it should as my MSD did- The yellow led comes on when press the gas i beleive- im @ school right now i will check it out on the way home-

i will go over my check all my wiring again make sure everything is good-

Thing is it engauges correctly but then just turns off a second later

why do you have trigger switch will ENABLE this sstage? Do you have something wired to the trigger switch?

Set it to WILL NOT CHANGE or whatever it is.

Well I would pull the bottle, Hold down the WOT switch and bring the rpms up and listen/feel for the noids clicking, start there. Or reprogram the FJO unit to start at 100 percent and make a run and see if unit is working...

You need to make sure it's wired like the LAST diagram in the manual...on the last page. leave out the second stage relay, wires and noids.and make sure all the connections and grounds are tight!!

Then MAKE SURE the tps and rpm signals are set up right.

Then do what Al (383lq4ss) said,go into the software and set the trigger switch menu to "will not affect" this stage. And unclick the "present" box on the second stage, because you dont have one.

its hard to troubleshoot this stuff without seeing it..

Ok something is not right in the hen house. You can not have a cutoff rpm lower than ending rpm. If you could scetch out the way YOU have it connected that would be most helpful. Please do not say I have wiring like the book says. Take the time and draw it out. its real easy to mis a step in wiring looking at a drawing, BUT if YOU draw it the way YOU wire it, most of the time you will find ONE wire you had connected wrong. I am not saying its wired wrong, we are all human and it might be a bad box but we all want to help and need some more information to help figure it out.

Ricky....but if you have "trigger switch will enable" and no input...that stage will not run unless you provide 12 volts.. correct?

Possible I need to check with FJO, I do not even have my test unit here any more. An easy thing is not to mess with the trigger controlls unless you have a transbrake or want to switch between stages, as posted in another thread... What worries me is the Cut off is lower than ending that should not be able to happen.

Oh...I see what your saying. Yes..that should not be possible.

02Vortech...can you get a screenshot of your FJO screen and post it. Youll use the Print screen key. If you dont know how do a google search on print screen and it will run your through on how to do that.

hey i figured it out- It will only spray below 2000rpm SO WTF....... this sucks ***

here is my program -

i have not updated yet- do i need to update my software- i think it is 2.6

just went through with a voltage meter and checked all the connections on the male side of the FJO and everything is correctly hooked up- TPS went from 0 to 5 and the RPM i guess was working correctly it went higher as i pressed the pedal, the on/off switch was correct 12 volts on 0 volts off- so what gives....

can you make it an attachment or larger. Ok its just a problem and more than likely a simple one so lets stay calm and work thru it.
