I got in my car this morning to start it and it when I turned the key, radio comes on, fuel pump primes and everything, but when I turned it to turn it over it just clicks, doesnt even try to turn over like the battery is totally dead. I tried it a few times turning it back and forth then once it just started fine. Does anybody have any idea what the cause could be? I have absolutely no idea, thanks.

Battery Connection is corroded, or the starter is bad.

It hasnt done it since and I've started with no problems, If it was the starter, wouldnt it be more consistent?
i had the same problem two weeks ago and it did this like 2wice over a few days...
then one mornign it just wouldnt start at all. turns out it was the starter/ignition switch inside the steering column. its not an expensive part (about $20), but replacing it means opening up the steering column.. changed it now the car starts fine (make sure your starter is good while youre at it). another hint that the switch is the problem is that you feel the key getting stuck sometimes when you turn it on (or when youre switching off the car and trying to get the key out)
make sure your battery connections are clear before you try this though, it might be something as simple as that

When i had my 96 Z28 it did the same thing, it turned out to be just like 4ced said
it was the iginition, relay switch under the driver side dash
cost me 35 bucks to replace it which was alot cheaper than buying a starter.

Where did you get the relay switches? My key has ALWAYS been hard to get out, since I've owned the car.
i got it at the dealership, the price was exactly $24. also, when i got it changed the key comes out a lot easier
