Default Car struggles?

I just changed my cat, wires, and plugs. My car won't pull? Like when i get of the clutch in first driving normally, the RPM drops and feels like the car is about to come off..then when i push the gas some more, it starts hesitating? in every gear it does that. sometimes its not as bad, but its still doing it. It just started doing it all of a sudden last week. thats why i changed the cat, wires, and plugs. oh, and black plenty of black smoke comes out of my exhaust?

I'm talking about LS1's......I've had plenty of threads similar to this one......search and you'll see. I've changed o2's, plugs, wires, maf, and my car still stumbles between 1500-2000 rpm. I've never noticed any smoke though. It's a pretty common thing with these motors.......people have just got to share there probs and how they got fixed....i'll keep you informed.....btw i've only changed the upstream o2's ( before cat ) im planning on the backs just to make sure.....and i also heard the smog pump might be the culprit???? Good luck

my question of lt1 or ls1 was to moe...i would guess he has an lt1.

98 camaro, the rear o2's have no effect on how the car runs..they are only there for diagnostic purposes (to monitor that the converters are working correctly). The slp MAF's can cause alot of wierd quirks in fueling. You should also check your TPS sensor . Have you changed your fuel filter??I know I said that but it is important(and cheap)!! Verified fuel pressure?

how many miles do u have on the car? i am going to say u definately need a seafoam treatment. our intakes get all gunked up from the EGR gases and PCV gases. this creates turbulence and lowers the velocity of the incoming air making the air tumble over and over. do a seafoam treatment and let us know how it went. its gonna smoke a HELL OF A LOT so dont worry.

My car has 123,xxx miles on it. I just changed my plugs and wires, so if i do the Seafoam treatment, wont that make my wires go bad? Oh, and its an LT1.

no it wont hurt the wires. if ur going to do the seafoam, do it in this order...

Seafoam, new plugs, new O2's.

if u already have done the last 2, see if u can get ahold of some old ones. im telling u, the seafoam will make a HUGE difference. keep us updated!
