Default clutch line wont go into trans

I replaced the clutch several months ago and got hung up with the clutch line going into the trans. I kept putting it off and now its getting warmer and I want to sell the car. Anyways no matter what I do the end will not go into the trans. I am not sure if you need to push it in or does the plastic lock keep it in? Any help would be appreciated!

The plastic lock is used to unhook the line not to keep it locked.

Try opening the bleeder up when pushing it in. Preasure built up from the clutch install could be working against you.

On the top of the bellhousing right about the quick disconnect line. Feel up there and you'll feel a little square hole with the bleeder valve in it.
