what is this part of the gears called? mine is missing.

Default what is this part of the gears called? mine is missing.

well ij ust bought some used gears from someone and i came to realize that it is missing this part. Can it be replaced or did i just buy some gears taht arent usable?

That is the pinion bearing, and it is replaceable.

However, those gears you have in the pics look pretty corroded (maybe its just the pic). Not sure I would use someting like that.

lol those arent the gears that i have bc those gears have the pinion bearing, mine dont and i would never put gears like that in my car. the ones that i bought, the guy said only had 748 miles on them and they look perfect.

Don't forget the the Solid pinion spacer or crush sleeve, pinion nut and new pinion seal. WTH, just order a differential kit with it all. it probably cheaper

LOL, I was hoping you were not putting those in your car.

Anyway, Roy may be right about just buying a diff kit. You might look into that.
