anyone using one of these or a different brand? will this give me a good signal to my amp? Or should I just get a new Head Unit?

If you have speaker level inputs on your amps you'd be just as well off tapping the amp input wires at the amp. The monsoon head unit sends 4 normal high level signals to the amp, if you splice into the wires on the input side of the amp you're good to go.

You could also use a regular old line level converter off of these wires should you need to step them down, again off of the same place. There is no need to a PAC unit or to run RCA's all the way back if you're still using the monsoon head unit.

It is only worth running RCA's if you use an aftermarket deck, which is highly recommened. The monsoon deck puts out a lot of distortion even at 50% volume.

If you're just adding subs, then it should be reasonably ok.
