What is a flash point? Im new to the whole torque converter thing.

Floor it from an idle and see what the converter flash RPM is.

a better method is to lock the car in 1:1(3rd gear) while cruising and hit WOT really fast. yourr tach will flash up before you can feel the car actually move.
idle works in some cases, but from a 50mph cruise works better, IMO.
