Burning Clutch
SO every time I start from a dead stop on a hill, by the time I reach the top the clutch smells like it is burning. It also when I push the car a little (I don't drop the clutch passed 1500 rpms). What do u guys think that the problem could be? Is it time for a new clutch, the ('98 Z28 m6) car just passed 46,000 miles?

Put the car in 5th or 6th(pref 6th) at a low speed like 55(depending on gears) and go WOT...Does the clutch slip? if not your likely riding the clutch to much. Do you ride the clutch all the way up the hill?

Thanks for the reply. I'll try it. I dont think that I ride the clutch at all, I might of at first when I made the change from 1990 Volvo Wagon to the LS1 but I'll try this and see if it slips.
