Default Rebuilding an optispark?

Mine seems to work great. So I thought about just doing a cap, rotor and cleaning it up, have any of you ever tried it?

Well did it work for you? I really want to do as the stock one has 121,000 miles on it.

yeah it worked for me, but after it was all said and done.. it turns out that it wasn't the initial problem.

you should just wait until it completely goes out on you.. there is no reason to waste your time in tearing it apart and off the car

the unit itself is pretty simple in design. consisting of very few internal parts.

Don't just do the cap and rotor if the stock one has that many miles, just replace the whole thing as another part might fail eventually.
