Default can't find mobil 1 5w 40. help!

hey guys the wal-mart I shop at always use to carry mobil 1 truck & suv 5w 40. I've been there 3 times in 4 weeks and don't see any sign of it. I don't even see a price tag on the shelf for it any more. Has anyone else had problems finding that oil? have they stopped making it? I have seen the 5w 30 truck & suv, could this be a replacement?

Same here I get my oil at the local wal-mart in the 5 qt jugs. Havent been able to find M1 5W-30 or 10W-30 there

Edit, I'm retarded, I meant to say I've ONLY been able to find M1 5W-30 or 10W-30 there

M1 5/40 is being relabeled as "Turbo Diesel Truck" 5/40. It is supposed to ship out in April so keep your eyes open for it. The T/SUV 5/40 is now a 5/30. The relabeled 5/40 should be the same as the old. If you have a pepboys in the area, try them if you need the oil now. Ive seen many cases of the T/SUV 5/40 still there.....HTH

Nod, we still have plenty of the M1 5/40 in the pipeline. Check your local Pep Boys and they should have it or be able to get it.

Default 02 and up audi Vw run castrol 5w40

I work at a porsche audi dealer, and the audis run 5/40 castrol syntec. I personnaly don't have a preferance over M1 or syntec, if you know some one there they can get you a price cheap. Under $5 a quart

I've traveled to a variety of W-Marts and have found leftover 5w-40 in the clearance section and in the red-headed-step-child sections of the oil aisle. It's a good excuse to hop in the car and do some driving...no worse than the GC quest.

What about the 0w-40 Mobile1? I see that all the time at AutoZone. (I am there buying GC 0w-30) Anyone have any experience with this Mobile 1?

your better off running GC or M1 5/40. M1 0/40 tends to thin out over time. If you run short intervals, then ok, longer intervals, i wouldnt do it. GC and M1 5/40 are better regardless.

the company i work for is the 2nd largest exxon distributor in the state of virginia and as we know mobil and exxon merged. so we also carry mobil projects. that grade is still available ofcourse. i know i saw some in the warehouse the other day. but i usually get my mobil from walmart too. its cheaper through walmart then at our cost
