Default Ported my own TB got a PIC

I realize this is bieng posted in the wrong forum. But I purposly posted it in this section. The reason bieng I was a little scared to attempt to port my own TB. But one day I finally got up the ***** to attempt it I had some trouble at first. But once I got the hang of everything it was a breeze. I realize this isnt the best job thats been done but it looks pretty good for my first time. So this is for all you newbies debating about porting your own TB. Dont worry just TRY IT!

Looks to me like you still have that restrictive lip near the blade. Props to you for attempting it on your own though. Just take your time and you'll get there. I tried my own and went a little too far with removing material and now have a small pinhole in mine (fortunately found a ported one for sale in the for sale section to replace it). Be careful and take your time, it'll work out in the end. Good luck.

The gains are minimal if anything, I don't see much of a reason to do it besides boredom.

I agree. Good for you for trying it on your own. People are always saying port your tb body yourself. This is the first time Ive seen anyone show them doing it. And if ya screw it up, so what? Get another, atleast you tried.

It's been proven for ~7-8rwhp. Minimal, yes, but for free (unless you pay someone) it's not bad. You pay $100+ for a lid for similar gains.

I think the picture looks worse than the throttle body. Take a better picture and you would probably get better responses. From the way the picture looks it looks like you dropped the throttle blade in the garbage disposal, and I doubt someone could make it look that bad without trying.

you need to completely disassemble that thing and wet sand it and buff it out to a shine, and then put a coating over it...or just got get it powdercoated.

Thanks, it was a learning experience and I enjoyed trying it. If I ever have to do another one, I'm sure I'll do better now that I know what I'm doing.

Out of curiousity what are the exact steps to do this? If I get bored enough I might cut my EGR tub and port my own TB. hell, 7-8rwhp would totally be worth it.
