broke a wire while trying to replace the alternator

Default i need help bad!!!!!

well i thought i was alittle mechanical to but an alternator in but im not! first i broke the wire that is connceted to the alternator which i had to splice a new wire in. not sure if thats any good, any way to tell? second i cant get the top two blots to line up for me gor the life of me. any special way i have to do it or just get luky?

next time im paying someone to do any work on my car. lol

it sucks when you get no replies...still having trouble?

first, i'm guessing you're doing this from underneath right?
second, the alt is heavy enough for your arm to get lazy on you if you're struggling to get the bolts through, maybe i'm just weak i dunno...just push the alt all the way up, line the top bolt up, and stick it through tighten it a little bit, then the other two will be pretty easy. as for the wire, i don't know, just make sure its taped up good, not touching anything else and hope for the best i guess.

not everyone can work on cars, but this is fairly simple, just take a deep breathe, picture where everything needs to go, and don't get frustrated.

hope you already have it done, otherwise its been two days without your car
