Default How the hell....

do I go from running a 13.56 @ 102mph 2.1 60ft fully stock with no weight reduction to 12.54 @ 105mph 1.83 60ft with about 250lbs weight reduction, LTs, X-pipe, Yank 3800, LS6 intake and a lid? Now my converter and new tranny have yet to be tuned so it runs like total crap, but my mph is freakin weird. I will get it tuned as soon as I can but it was pretty much my last night in town for awhile so I ran it anyway. Whats up with my mph?

The 60 foot is what helped.

The low 60' helped your ET and usually a converter will cause you to lose mph, in your case you added power and dropped weight so you only saw a small increase in MPH.

Sorry, but his MPH sucks... the end. No one mentions the DA... what was the weather like when you ran it stock VS last night? That will have some impact. Also, tuning like you said. My friend's 00' SS went from 101.7 MPH pass all stock in 100* heat, to only 104 MPH w/ LT's - ORY - 3000 TCI stall - nitto drags. But dropped from 13.7 to 12.99 in the 1/4. We threw my ECM in it for giggles even though it wasn't 100% right for his car and his MPH jumped to 107 instantly. His ET didn't improve much because he spun a lot more... 1.83 60' on the 12.99 @ 104 VS a 2.16 60' on the 12.97 @ 107+.

Get a good tune, you'll be golden and see the mods pay off for you. Enjoy!
