Default Heater Core

I am pretty sure my heater core is leaking. When I take it to the strip it fogs the window up and I smell coolant. Really any time I get on it these things happen. How hard is it to replace and/or bypass??? Thanks

check behind your center console/radio controls on the passenger side, if the carpet is drenched with coolant, its your heater core. and yea its somewhat of a pain to replace.

Is this a common problem for the f-bodies. Now that I have asked a few of my friends they say their window fogs at race time also and they smell coolant as well. Whats up with that???

I know it was common on the third gens, if your carpet isn't wet from coolant, i would just do some general stuff, check all your lines, flush out the radiator, and make sure you're using dex-cool.

as for the windows, maybe the adrenaline, and nervousness is causing heavy breathing, fogging up your windows.

just check all your hoses and flush the radiator see if that helps.
