Default snapped driveshaft = insane tranny leak?!

Snapped a driveshaft on the highway, replaced, now fluid leaks like crazy out the driveshaft seal im hoping its just that seal, but when the driveshaft gave out on me it felt like a large explosion occured under the car. are there any other seals further up on the output shaft that coulda taken damage I dont see any damage on the driveshaft seal.

no, more than likely, it's just the seal. if you ever have a trans apart you will see that there is nothing past the seal inside the case other than gears and stuff

I know of this picture, the best one there is, there is a white rubberish seal above the snap ring being removed http://www.ls2.com/boggs/t56rebuild/...snap20ring.jpg
dont know if that could have been damaged or if it even keeps fluid away from the driveshaft or not, all I know is after sitting a week and 60 miles of driving today the car is soaked in atf and 1 qt and a half low
