Default Maf Q

real dumb question really. my 95 lt1 is a maf system, do i have to run a maf unit for it to even run? or can i bypass it with programing? if i have to have one, what are some decent ones out there with a good price?

You can tune it out but DON'T and the best one to use is the stock f-body one.

The MAF is a sensor all it has to do is send reliable info to the pcm without restricting flow, the stocker does that perfectly.

The aftermarket sensors try to trick a pcm with a stock tune into a more ideal AFR, thing is if the car is tuned right that "trick" ends up pushing it lean not a good thing. The tuning to get AFR right in the programming is MUCH cheaper than a Granatelli too so basically they have no redeaming features they are just junk designed to con you our of your money.
