Default Should I Buy 1996 6 Speed Formula?

Its white, Its got 63 000 miles or 100 000kms. He wants 12495 obo Canadian. Which is about 11 200 American. What are the gear ratios on these, and can I easily bolt on 275 Torque Thrust 2's?

OMG that price is insane....

I'd probably pay 1/2 that price.

You're getting hosed if you pay that for a stock lt1 bird.

BTW-The car should have 3.42 gears.

If it is in specatacular condition and you pay 8k, you still got ripped off. I bought my 96 Formula WS6 6M w/50k four years ago for $9500. You should buy it for no more than 6-8k, and 8k being on the high side, very high.

Yes. The price should be no more than about $7000 american dollars for a good condition LT1 F-body.

I don't know much about the canadian market for f-bodies but unless it's normal to pay way more than in the us that is too much.

You won't really find a Z or Bird for less than 10,000 ever. Unless it has over 160 000 km. Keep in mind the USA has way more cars. Bigger market. So If I could get this guy down to 11 000, thats good for Western Canada. I'll report back after supper. Im going to test it out.

I bought my 95Z with 80,000 miles on it 2 years ago for $8500CDN out of BC. You just have to look for good clean deals.

I got my 97 with 30k miles for 9k last year, and that's with the northeast mark-up. It is an A4 though.

Ok boys I checked it out tonight. Couldnt drive it because of no insurance. Engine purred perfectly...no issues there. Although he had it running when I got there. May be fishy. Interior is good. Exterior...dime sized rust marks on bottom corners of driver and passenger doors. Very minor. New stock tires. Gear shifter is tight. Reved it up and sounded great.uhhhhm. Stored winters. I could tell because of rusty water marks on rotors and low tire pressure.

How much horse do those cheap 6psi Vortechs make?

You could buy a LS1 SS for that! **** I paid 13,999 for my 01 SS PERFECT shape only 47,000 miles. My 94 Z28 I only paid $3100 for it a year ago. Good Luck!
