I think the thid picture is were the CAGS thing plugs in at, but im not sure, it might be on the other side.

1. plug where the skip shift solenoid should be
2. not sure
3. back up light switch

i think 2. is where the shifter detent assy should be...hard to tell from the pic

2 had a plug in it. i took the plug out and it had a little ball bearing on the end of it. and im not sure what a shifter detent assembly is. that whole in 2 is on the opposite end of where the skip shift solenoid is supposed to be. thanks!

the ball is the shifter rod detent assy

Answers above are correct. The aluminum plug is taking the place of the skip shift solenoid. The oposite hole is for the rail detent capsule. Although it looks like a plug , the ball is actually spring -loaded and acts on the rail offset lever to provide load fore/aft.The plugged part is a back up lamp switch.
