Lid/filter
Smooth bellows
MAF
Intake
Throttle body
Underdrive pully
Headers
Exhaust

Technically, almost every part of a car is attached via clips or bolts, but bolt on usually applies to;

natural* induction improvements (up to intake manifold, sometimes including)
exhaust (yes, starting with headers)
suspension (can also include chassis stuff like SFCs)
engine accessories (like the aforementioned UD pulley)

*Unless engine in question had an OEM forced induction device, then this definition would encompass upgrading something like a pulley.

Can't remember who said that, but it seems mostly accurate.

If this guy says he has a Moroso intake, then he's got a LT1, not a LS1. In that case, the intake manifold is not a bolt on.

"bolt-ons" are defined herein as anything that can be bolted to the motor leaving the shortblock, heads, and cam(s) untouched. So an intake is considered as a bolt-on. Ofcourse, bolting a blower or nitrous is "bolting" something on but your are changing the classification of the motor from N/A to FI. So the mass majority doesn't consider a power adder a bolt-on. -Mark

FI doesn't count because while you may not be changing the internals, you are changing what goes ON inside there.

So does adding an intake manifold, just not to that extent.

Blowers and turbos get knocked out by the "if they touch oil" rule.

Yes cause you modified the heads. An intake is considered as a bolt-on.
