Default Motor Mounts

ok guys i got a fairly rough idle, but the shiter goes back in for about an inch more when engaged and mostly from 1-2500 rpm, i am almost positive its motor mounts and I am just wandering if anyone has done them, how long it would take with 2 people and normal home garage tools???? ne special tools i need?

if you just replaced your tranny mount and you used a poly mount then it still could be your motor mounts are good and your just not used to the extra feedback your getting from the poly mount.

nah stock tranny mount replactment, and its dont feel like a tranny mount, my shifter **** moves an inch back and forth(progressively gettin worse) in any gear or neutral when in the 1000-2500 rpm range

Like I stated before.....drive shaft out of balance. Did you have that checked? Yes the drive shaft still turns in nuetral while moving. If it is vibrating while parked and in neutral.....then you have a balancing issue with the flywheel, pressure plate...etc.

a motor mount would really make the car idle rough, it would just make it seem like it idling rough because the engine is floppin around in the bay. it could be mounts. make sure you get poly mounts when your doing it.

I wouldn't do poly, a lot of vibration, i mean they are stronger but yea, im not a fan of the vibration. Also why didn't you go poly on the tranny mount and be done with it? O well, not up to me but I would have just done a poly mount
