Thought?

Trying to think of a way to hide a purge.

hiding it is one thing, covering up the noise is another. mine is Very loud, but maybe if you purge during a burnout it might help. I wonder how flammable it would be back their in the exhaust?

Thats a concern I had ... or if it would expand way to quick and open up a muffler.

Try it and find out, just keep the extinguisher handy, just in case.

Are you runnin a hand held button or a micro switch on the pedal? Most of the time I just purge mine through the motor in the burn out box, if you have hand held button. Most people will never even know!

seriously though, if your gonna do it make sure its after the cat, otherwise when the fuel in the exhaust goes through the cat it will have enough oxygen to explode, my thoughts.

Just run the line from the solenoid down into the engine bay so it purges underneath the car or into one of the fenders. You shouldn't be able to see it while doing a burnout, or at all for that matter.

i dont even run a line off my purge. i just let it go under the hood, you can hear it, but the burnout idea would work!!

i might run lines this year, just so i can be sure both purge's work

I don't even use a purge anymore. Just for show IMO. I just "purge" the nitrous and fuel at the same time through the motor.

purge is huge when you run big shots!!!!

it has a big effect on your tune up.
to much psi, and boom, to low, and you wash down the motor.
purge makes a big deal.
i dont purge outside just for that reason, and i got rid of my master blaster and went with a basic one just so it was hard to hear. but on big wet shots, its good for tunning, and consistancy

it wont catch fire, but i guess in a rare case, it could combust some how once it hit the muffler or what ever.

Unburnt fuel and the heat from the Exhaust

Just do the motor purge in the burnout box. When you do your burnout and your just about ready to get off the brakes and start rolling foward for the "Grab" feeling. Thats when you can hit it for a second.

this would be a great way to make 6ft flamthrower system a 12ft flamethrower system.

i have seen setups into the rear wheel wells, and purge during burnouts. i don't see the point of hiding the purge, it doesn't have to be showy, but just do it under the car or something

Purging into the exhaust is fine. Nitrous needs to be compressed and heated to release the oxygen. Nothing will happen.

Rather than waste it though, you could blow it onto your solenoids which will help cool them down and give you a more consistent hit. I've also seen people run an insulating sleeve over the nitrous feed line, then purge down into the sleeve to cool the line.
