I am looking for a writeup for changing the transmissions fluid for my 4l60e. Thanks guys

Very simple. Remove the 14(or so) bolts holding the oil pan, including the two that hold the shift linkage. Just let the shift linkage hang there. Watch as soon as you start removing bolts there will be oil dripping around the whole pan. Once the pan is off, you will see the filter(big black flat plastic thing) pull it straight down towards the ground and it will come off. Push new filter back in. REplace pan with new gasket and torque to X.XX(no idea) ft-lbs. Fill system with approx 4-5 quarts.

Yep, just tell them you need a new tranny filter and it should come in a box with a new gasket. Just open up the box and look before you buy it.

Make sure the filter is a oem type, it must say on the filter, "filtran", Sealed Power, SP, or Microfelt. Stay away from the filters that have the big "A" on them. The oem type are a "zero leak" filter, and keep the front pump living longer.
