Can you swap a 2 series rear with a 3 series?

Can you swap a 2 series rear with a 3 series? A buddy has a 3 series lying around and I needed a new rear...mine is a 2 series..so I was wanting to know if we could swap them without any problems...or what would I have to do to make the 3 series work?

3 channel (no TCS) has one sensor connection on top of the pumpkin, 4 channel (TCS) has sensors at each rear wheel.

If you have traction control you have a 4 channel, if you don't it is a 3 channel.
