i dont think they would spend time and money adding them if people were better off without them.

ive seen some that have a bell shaped cover you can put on it.

think mainly the surge is caused from smaller motors,
trying to remember from fluids class think its something like net suction inlet pressure where the inlet needs to be sized accordingly.

many supra guys are doing it!! Most are seeiing 250-400 rpms faster spoolup time too

I would talk to Jose at forcedinductions. They test turbos and engineer them, so I am sure they would know.

We have seen about 40 HP and 3-400 better spool after deleting it.
