How much should the stick move when I give it gas?

How much should the stick move when I give it gas? Say Im cruising in 3rd, and get on it , My whole stick moves to the right about a 1/2 inch, like the trannies twisting or something, no noises though, is this a bad tranny mount?

I noticed this with my car also, but it was greatly reduced now that I have a polyurethane motor mount. I also have poly trans and torque arm mounts, but the motor mount is what reduced the movement of the shifter stick.
