Default 03 cobra tranny into an ls1?

I was wondering if the trans in a cobra are the same as an ls1. I know that they are run off of a cable but I thought maybe they could still be swapped if you change the bellhousing and input or output shaft, forgot which one was diffrent. Does it still have the spots for the bleeder and slave?

They are both a T56...if you swapped a few items I'm sure they would work the same.

While certainly true, the swap list and associated $ would stear you to sell the Cobra unit and buy the correct model for your car.
Bell
Adapter
Input
Extension
Top rail
Shifter
speed sensor

This will leave you with a different ratio set as well - OD is .80/.62
Also, the mainshaft has the correct spline but it may be the correct length for the Fcar extension.
Obviously do-able but not practical.
