Default HPTuners Speedo Calibration

Hey,

I have a 98 Z28 with an A4 and changed from 2:73 to 3:73s. I adjusted the speed ratio on HPTuners and it asks if you want to "scale the transmission tables"? Does this affect the way the transmission performs? Also I have a Transgo Stage II shift kit installed and was wondering if there is a chance of damage if I adjust the firmness with HPTuners in conjunction with the shift kit. Appreciate the help

The help file doesn't make mention of '98's but I presume it's the same as 99? If it were any different it should be documented. Just out of curiousity, how are we arriving at tire height?

- Rolling circumference divided by pi (which is what I've used for years)
- parked height cold, parked height hot, etc?

Since the tire expands at speed, you probably need to tweak the height to get an accurate speed at a specific MPH. I don't have an automatic do I don't use the Auto Scale feature.

This has actually been the first change i have made with my HPTuners so I am still getting used to all of the features.....I try the measured height...for the first flash I used manufacturer tire height for a rough estimate...it seems that after the Autoscale feature the shifting has changed...especially my 1-2 shift seems to take alot longer and at higher rpms?

Definetely looking forward to getting the car tuned properly and appreciate all the help...
