Default Too late to switch to synthetic? or back to regular?

Howdy! I am about to get an LS1 M6 and I was curious as to whether it is ever too late to switch to Synthetic Mobil 1 or Royal Purple? The car i buy will prolly have around 50k miles hopefully and I was wanting to drop RP into the T-56 right away to gain a couple extra ponies to the wheels and maybe some Mobil 1 or RP into the engine right away too. Will this hurt anything? Whats the latest you can switch? Can you switch back to mineral oil from synthetic?

Go for it. That thing would love a shot of the good stuff. Your LS1 will give you a BJ if you fill it with Amsoil.

make sure to do some reading before you go dumping full synthetic into your trans. pre 01 cars don't like it and you will cause more harm then good.

It's never too late for synthetic motor oil. Tranny fluid and gear lube are application specific.
